Life After High School
Have you started thinking about college yet? Maybe you have dropped some hints about becoming a nurse, a secondary educator, an engineer or maybe even start your own business. Where you chose to be educated in your field of interest is vitally important.
Did you know that 87% of all “churched” students who leave home to attend a secular college will also leave the church before their education is finished? That’s alarming but true. I actually have a few family members that are a part of that statistic. However, only 6% of all “churched” students who leave home to attend a Christian college or university will leave the church before their education is completed. I like that statistic a whole lot more, don’t you?
We want to be a resource for you to help inform you of various Christian colleges and universities. We also want to provide opportunities for you to visit some of these campuses and get a better look at their future.
Below are listed some of our closest Christian colleges and universities, their web address, and dates of their upcoming college days. If you are a senior high school student and are interested in attending one of these college days, and/or would like to help us plan and take one of these road trips, please call me at (816) 279-6244 or email me at rnelmes@caringfirst.org.
