Students & Parents:

I want to clarify my announcement of resignation from last week. I realize that not many of you were there last week and you may have heard some things out of context about this situation. Pastor Tim did NOT fire me and I was NOT forced to resign.

The situation is such that our chemistry mix isn’t all that it could be. This Student Ministry is healthy and strong. You guys are awesome and you are extremely valuable to this church and to your Pastor, and of course to me. At the same time, my ministry ability is healthy and strong, and Pastor appreciates that and cares for me as well.

Unfortunately, despite the strength of both of those individual “chemicals” so to speak, the reaction isn’t all that we want for you. Pastor Tim, the church, and my family want God’s very best for you, the Student Ministries of Caring First Church. Sometimes that means making a change to bring about a greater good. I know that it’s not always easy or fun to go through changes like this. In fact, I know it hurts – and that’s ok. The important thing is to not get mad or point fingers. NO ONE IS AT FAULT HERE. NO ONE IS BEING REJECTED. You have not failed me as a Student Ministries Pastor, nor have I failed you, this church, or Pastor Tim.

I hope this clears up any wrong information you may have heard or assumptions that you felt lead to believe. I love you guys deeply and so does Pastor Tim and this church! God will bless you through this transition if you allow him.

Here is what to do:
1. Refuse to listen to gossip
2. Speak positive words of life over CFC and it’s Student Ministries
3. PRAY!

a. For Pastor Tim as he searches for a new Student Ministries Pastor
b. For my family as we search for a church to Pastor
c. For the students and parents as they make this transition
4. Embrace the next Student Ministries Pastor
5. Keep your attitude and motives pure
