A Hard Day

Some days are harder than others. Some days come with ease, others come with tension and anxiety. Sunday was a hard day. It was a day to say goodbye to friends, fellow ministry leaders, and disciples. Transition like this never is easy, but God will sustain and prove faithful.

A particular passage has stuck in my head lately from Matthew 5:43-48. Verse 45 says, "For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and on the unjust, too." There is a purpose for everything. The key to finding that purpose and receiving blessing is to remain steady - balanced. Continue in love, faithfulness, and devotion to God - not man.

I was encouraged by the cards we received on Sunday, but one in particular stood out. Although there was nice check inside, the words were much more valuable. Here is what was written.

Thank you so much for every revelation you were faithful to bring forth - for every inconvenience you bore - for every ounce of energy you put forth - for every prayer you prayed - for every song you sang and played - for every time you loved when it would have been easier to not love.

Thank YOU!
