Seasons Change

Autumn to me is the most beautiful season of all. The color of the leaves changing, the greens of the pine trees and the bright blue sky is just breath taking. However, with autmn comes cooler tempatures and shorter days. It seems as if this season drags a bit slower and brings a type of let down.

Hey, seasons change. It's all part of the cycle of life for our world. It's something we can always count on. It's something nature depends on.

Then why is change so difficult for us at times? Do we really expect things to stay the same as they were 10-20 years ago. Everything changes with time...our bodies, our culture, our economy, our technology, our relationships...everything.

Would you want to get paid the same today as you did 10 years ago? Perhaps you would like to go back to the way it was without computers? Can we ignore medical advancements? I'm pretty sure that you would say "NO" to all of these.

Of course I'm not discrediting or belittling our past. We wouldn't be where we are today if not for yesterday. I'm just pointing out the fact that there are some things in our lives or around our lives that we struggle with changing or even refuse to let change.

I'm sure I'm not the first one to tell you this, but listen anyway - change is ok. Change is especially ok when it moves you forward into positive growth. I'm not saying that it will always be easy or painless, but change is more acceptable if we are patient and willing to learn and grow.

Seasons change. It's going to happen whether we want it to or not. Why not embrace it and grow with us?
