Yesterday, in preparation for our eventual move, we sold our second dog, Simon. Maggie the Terrier, was sold last week. Although we loved our dogs and will miss them plenty, we are somewhat relieved that they have found good homes. Our whole transition and moving will be burden enough without having two dogs fighting for our time and affection. We have pictures and memories, and quite frankly, thats good enough for me.
Our boys hugged and kissed them goodbye without a second thought. They understand the place we are at in our lives right now and have taken it all in stride. Besides, they think we're buying them a Wii...not anytime soon.
