Something to Warm You Up!

Our first snow of the year is finally here. If you're like me, you wish it were cold enough to stick on the ground so we could go sled ridding or have a snowball fight. Good times!

Well, I thought I would share an encouraging testimony with you today to warm your heart on this cold afternoon. A few weeks ago a visitor came to the Summit and was so impressed that they decided to share out there in cyber space on their blog. It was so encouraging that I thought I would share with you as well.

I went to Caring first for the past three weeks, and it was amazing. From the time I walked in to the time I left I was treated like I was one of their own. I was able to be me, and I was accepted the moment I stepped into the church, and I was told that they would be there for me and that they would like me to come back. The sincerity of the talks we have and the playful personalities that everyone possesses. Makes me forget about the seclusion you often experience at (my church). I left there feeling happier and more important than when I had walked in.

Here's a run down, or a list rather, of the things I experienced while I was there:

-I was greeted with hugs and smiles
-I was asked questions about myself other than of my past
-I was talked to as an adult and not a a teen whose only purpose was to be away from there parents
- I was given tasks to do
- I made new friends in which they treated me like they had known me forever
- I was invited places (football games & mall scavenger hunt)
- I was able to kid around with a pastor who was truly interested in me and my personality.
- I was asked to come back again.

Great job everyone! We are deffinately on the right track and student's lives are being touched. God bless it!
