In case you haven't heard, Kevin Zurica is in the spotlight yet again. He broke the Union (PA) High School track and field record for Pole Vault - a height of 13 feet and 4 inches! The previous record of 13'3" was set last year by his senior teammate, Brandon. Congratulations, Kevin! We're all proud of you! We're praying that you can go even higher for district and state competition.
I was privilaged to see Kevin in action yesterday at the New Castle Track Invitational. Kevin ran in the 4 by 100 as well as competing in the pole vault where he took first place at a height of 13'0". Coach Scott has done a great job with the Union High School boys track team, and the best part is, He's a Christian attending Victory Assembly just over the boarder in Ohio.

I just want to say that I could never achieve my goals w/o the help of my teammates, coach, dad, and most importantly, God. He has given me the ability, and I use it daily to His Glory. Nothing I do is for myself, but for God...just as the old song goes, "To God, Be the Glory.."
Amen.
