Gratitude by Jon Williams

"But He was wounded and crushed four our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace. He was whipped, and we were healed." (Isaiah 53:5 NLB)

When Jesus died for us, He did it willingly. Because Jesus is the Son of God, He could have escaped from His captors and executioners with a spectacular display of power. But if He had, we would still be lost in our sin. How can we ever repay our Lord? We can't.

How should we respond? We can trust Jesus with our life and live as He wants us to. How are you showing your gratitude to Christ?

Prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying in my place on the cross. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and my Lord. Make me the kind of person You want me to be. Praise You Jesus! Amen.

Jon Williams is a teenager of the student ministries at First Assembly of God in New Castle, PA.
