Today's dating scene is a scary place! Intimate relationships are viewed as an absolute must and sexual activity is thought of as casual, normal and accepted.
Sexual Immorality is any sexual activity outside of marriage.
Hebrews 13:4
Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
According to a national study, 34% of 9th graders to 63% of 12th graders are having sexual intercourse.
- That means that about 47% of high school students are having sex
- About one million teenagers get pregnant annually
Another case study indicates
- 12% of boys & 10% of girls are having oral sex
- 11% are having anal sex
- 5% of boys and 11% of girls are having sexual contact with a same-sex partner
Some forms of Sexual Immorality include:
- pornography, cyber sex (chat), fantasizing, masturbation, sexual foreplay, oral sex, anal sex, same-sex sexuality, intercourse
RESULTS of Sexual Immorality
1. Physical (STDs)
- 19 million reported cases of STDs annually, almost half among young people 15-24
- 75% of HIV infections in 2002 were acquired through sexual intercourse. Half of these were contracted by individuals aged 15-24 (15,000)
- Pregnancy & miscarriage (13%)
2. Mental
- you lose a piece of yourself
- guilt, 2/3 of students who have had sex said that they wished they had waited
- self-esteem (sexually active girls are 3x more likely to attempt suicide)
80% of girls who had intercourse hoped to marry their partner
12% of guys said the same

1 Corinthians 6:18-20
Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
Sexual immorality has too high a price tag to mess around with! God cares for us and doesn't want those things to happen to us. He doesn't want to see us become one of those statistics. God deeply loves each and everyone of us BUT sin separates us from God. Sexuality outside of the way God intended it, will cause us to be impure. Only God can restore our purity!
