Whose Side Are You On?

If you love war movies or if you're a war buff, then you'll love reading through the historical books of the Bible (Joshua, Judges, 1 & 2 Samuel, 1 & 2 Kings, and 1 & 2 Chronicles). These 8 books of the Bible are full of incredible stories of battles, betrayal, rebelion, adultry, rape, murder, schisms and revolutionary wars. As with most stories, an unlikely hero always emerges to overcome a seemingly unconquerable enemy.

Joshua & the battle of Jericho in Joshua 6
Gideon defeats the Midianites in Judges 6-7
Samson (the real strongest redneck) in Judges 13-16
David & Goliath in 1 Samuel 17 (the beginning of bloodshed)

This Sunday night (our monthly youth emphasis night) we will be looking at 2 Chronicles 14-15 where Asa became king of Judah. There are some incredible lessons to be learned here about victory, reform and revival. I hope you'll join us!

"The Lord is with you when you are with Him. If you seek Him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, he will forsake you" (2 Chron. 15:2b)
